About Maru Prints

Hi, I’m Maru — the creator behind Maru Prints.

I’ve loved creating things ever since I was young. Born and raised in Japan, I have always felt deeply connected to Japanese culture, aesthetics, and ways of thinking.

In recent years, I’ve been so happy to see more people around the world becoming interested in Japan and the Japanese language. At the same time, I sometimes feel a little sad when Japanese words or concepts are misunderstood or used without their deeper meaning.

That feeling inspired me to open Maru Prints.

What started as a collection of Japanese typography and dictionary-style wall art has grown into a creative space filled with minimalist designs, meaningful quotes, and art inspired by everyday beauty and emotion.

Through my work, I hope to share a small piece of Japanese culture and spirit, and create designs that can peacefully blend into your daily life and home.
